The following images are acrylics and spray paint on canvas wrapped wood panels. These techniques are unique to me, as the layering and glazing are a process that I have been conceiving and working on for a number of years now. These panels when strung together spell out the word “INSPIRE”, they are installed at the Morgan Hill Public Library, located at 660 West Main Avenue, Morgan Hill California.
The artwork is site specific and was designed for the Teen Reading area of the library.
The artwork is the direct result of workshops that I conducted with teens from the area. These workshops ranged from your basic brainstorming sessions, to graffiti workshops, and hands on spray paint sessions to understand their ideas and influences, as well as to garner as much input from them as possible.
So if you are in town, check it out and let me know what you think!
